- The acquisition of Hugo Lloris, Moussa Dembele, and Clint Dempsey make them a winner. The moves should have been made sooner, but Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy made it happen. Whether AVB is the man to lead them into the Champions League is another question.
Manchester City
- Winners. Scott Sinclair was a good purchase from Swansea
Manchester United
- Neutral. They picked up RVP, but I'm not sure if that's enough to put them in Manchester City's class. A top defender would've paid dividends.
Fulham
- Losers. They acquired Dimitar Berbatov from Manchester United for a small fee, but they sold off Moussa Dembele and Clint Dempsey. Since they waited until the season before their free agency period, their hand was forced and they sold both players for less than they should have got.
Liverpool
- Losers. They loaned Andy Carroll to West Ham. They paid $36 million dollars for him only two years ago. They failed to acquire Clint Dempsey, and it's not as if the fee was astronomical.
Arsenal
- Losers. They haven't scored a goal yet. They sold Robin Van Persie and Alex Song. They picked up no one of note. They're relying too much on Jack Wilshere to return at full strength in October.
