- Liverpool dominated the first fifteen minutes, but from then on Arsenal was in control.
- Liverpool's Raheem Sterling is pure quality. He was fun to watch. He was constantly on the go. He showed creativity, made space for his teammates and provided them with options.
- Luis Suarez was nowhere to be found
- Steven Gerrard has had better games
- Stewart Downing was menacing. He didn't score, but he created some chances off the bench
- The counter-attack caused Liverpool's demise
- Arsenal looked ok, not great, but a win at Anfield is a great accomplishment nonetheless.
